These are real results rom real students. I work with singers, speakers, and voice rehabilitation students/clients across the country, and what you will find on this page reflects the breadth of what is possible when the work is done right. Whether a student comes to me with stage fright, a damaged voice, or a dream of performing on the international level, this is the kind of progress I help people make.

Voice Lesson Outcomes

Italy – summer opera program

One of my students was accepted into a competitive summer opera program that traveled to Italy to study and perform. She arrived as a developing singer. She left with international performance experience on her résumé and the technique to back it up.

“Cynthia trained me for over seven years and got me into dozens of theatrical productions and even accepted into a summer opera program that traveled to Italy to study and perform. She taught me professionalism and how to be confident in auditions and rehearsals. Her faith in my talent, even at such a young age, allowed me to achieve amazing things.“ – – Olivia Gesualdi

My students have also competed nationally at NAfME and NATS, two of the most prestigious, music competitions in the United States, and earned spots in national choirs alongside singers from across the country.

National choir placements and competition results

Carol Adams enrolled her daughter, Claire, with me, and the results were measurable and fast. Claire successfully auditioned for and performed with regional, state, and national high school choirs. She also placed in other competitive performance events. Claire has specific learning and communication needs, and I addressed them from day one.

“ Cynthia is immediately determined what Claire needed to work on to quickly elevate her performance and technique. Claire successfully auditioned for and performed with regional, state, and national high school choirs and has done very well in other performance events. Thanks to Cynthia‘s personalized teaching strengths and deep experience.” – – Carol Adams.

Voice Rehabilitation Outcomes

Recovery from surgery, nodules, and other voice disorders

My rehabilitation students have come back from nodules, polyps, edema, and other diagnosed voice conditions. Recovery, structured, evidence – based, and built around a specific diagnosis in collaboration with ENTs and speech language pathologist. It is not general lessons or coaching applied to a medical problem.

Getting back to choir after head and neck surgeries.

Danielle Marsh came to me after several had neck surgeries, including the removal of her thyroid. Singing had become physically difficult. We worked step-by-step, with patients in a plan built around her recovery. She got her voice back to where it was before surgery, and she is singing again with her ward choir and as a soloist.

“She has done so much to help me as I strive to reach my maximum potential. Her knowledge invoice and speech have helped me in ways that I never could have imagined.” – – Danielle Marsh

Recovery after stroke.

Shaba, XL, a young singer – songwriter whom I knew as John, was living with sickle cell anemia. After his second stroke and months of speech therapy, he asked me to help him learn to sing again. I was honored to work with him for several months, and he enjoyed the lessons.

“I was recovering from stroke three months ago and I enjoy her lessons – she really makes it fun.“ – – Shaba XL

Professional voice users, whose livelihoods were at stake

Among my rehabilitation students are auctioneers and music teachers for whom losing their voice is not an inconvenience. It is a career ending event. These students have recovered a return to the work that depends on their voice.

“Cynthia is extremely accommodating. I am a professional auctioneer and have developed some issues over the years with my voice. She put some programs together that dramatically helped me with my voice. She’s extremely knowledgeable and very intuitive. I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants to have a better voice.” – – Paul Ramirez

She understood my needs immediately.” – –Zafar Kaleem, MD

From fear to confidence

Some of my speech training, students arrive shaking. I use a graduated approach, incremental steps that Bill tolerance in confidence overtime, the same principle used in psychological desensitization. Students who came in, unable to speak in front of others have left with control, clarity, and real presence.

“Absolutely wonderful for singing and speech lessons. A true joy to work with Cynthia as she’s not only warm hearted, but also incredibly knowledgeable in our Kraft. I cannot recommend a better instructor to learn from.” – – James Cerasia.
